Code of conduct

The code of conduct for association events has been established in line with the ethical guidelines and in accordance with the goals of the European Wolfdog and Wolfalike Association, hereinafter referred to as EWA, in order to protect, preserve, and promote the interests of wolfdogs and wolfalikes.

Participation in events obliges every participant to comply with the code of conduct for the duration of the event.
Participants must consider the well-being of all wolfdogs and wolfalikes when presenting their dogs in public and private settings. Activities or tools that could harm the interests or welfare of the dogs must be avoided. Compliance with the German Animal Welfare Act is, of course, mandatory.
Participants must not use any form of communication that could be considered derogatory, defamatory, or detrimental to other participants, their dogs, or the EWA. The EWA distances itself from racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory statements.

All dogs must remain on a leash at all times during events, unless there are explicitly designated off-leash areas. Contact between dogs is only permitted with the explicit consent of the owner.
All participants must show mutual consideration and maintain appropriate distance. This ensures a safe environment for all dogs.
To protect nature and the environment, all locations must be left as they were found. Waste, including dog feces, must be properly disposed of.
Violation of the code of conduct may result in removal from the event and exclusion from future association events.
